Types of visa
 
Up to 30 days
 
• Single entry-exit visa is issued to the aliens, who are intending to stay in Mongolia for up to 30 days.
 
• Double entry-exit visa is issued to the aliens, who are visiting Mongolia twice within 3 months from the date of its issuance. Duration of each stay in Mongolia after the entry is up to 30 days.
 
 
• Single transit visa is issued to the aliens, transiting Mongolia by train once within 3 months from the date of its issuance. The transit visa allows the aliens to stay for up to 5 days.   
 
• Double transit visa is issued to the aliens, transiting Mongolia by train twice within 3 months from the date of its issuance. The transit visa allows the aliens to stay for up to 5 days after the entry.
 

Applicants from Sweden and Denmark are advised to apply through Honorary Consuls in Gotaborg and Copenhagen.

 
More than 30 days
 

Note: A foreign national, who is planning to stay in Mongolia for more than 30 days, is required to get registered at local Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens of Mongolia within 7 days after the arrival. For more information please visit www.mngimmigration.mn
 

 
 
• Single entry visa is issued to the aliens, who intends to stay in Mongolia for more more than 90 days. Supporting letter is required from relevant company/organization and/or counterparts in Mongolia, approved by the Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens of Mongolia.

• Multiple entry-exit visa for 6 months or one year is issued to the aliens, who have approval from the Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens of Mongolia.

If you apply for B, OU, T,  O, S, HG, TS categories visa, the Embassy will request for supporting letter from your company/organization and/or counterparts in Mongolia, approved by the Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens of Mongolia and authorization by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia.

If you apply for H category of visa, the Embassy will request personal invitation of a citizen of Mongolia, an invitation statement concerning his/her financial credibility to cover his/her stay in Mongolia. We accept only an original standard Invitation.
